Between 2014 and 2015, Alessandro Sciarroni developed a new performative practice around the concept of turning from observing the migratory fluxes of some animals which, at the end of their lives, return to spawn and die in their place of birth. The term “to turn” is translated and represented in a literal sense, the action of the body, rotating around its axis, developing a psychophysical emotional journey, a dance of endurance, while at the same time, “to turn” also represents the ideas of evolving, changing. Alessandro Sciarroni comes back to Festival Materiais Diversos, where he presented Folk-S in 2017, to show this performance and co-direct the annual summer school Na Prática.
